Privacy Policy
Ridgefold Brands ("Ridgefold", "we", "us") builds and runs a family of independent brands. This policy explains what information we handle and why. It covers this website, the tools we use to run our own YouTube channels, and any Ridgefold brand that has not published its own privacy notice.
1. This website
ridgefoldbrands.com is a static website. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no advertising trackers, and it has no forms. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard technical information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and protect the site; see Cloudflare's privacy policy.
If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you, and we keep them only as long as needed for that conversation.
2. Our YouTube tools (Google API Services)
We use a private application, Ridgefold Uploader, to manage our own YouTube channels. It is not offered to the public. Only Ridgefold's own Google account signs in to it, and it accesses only channels we own.
What it accesses
With our account's permission, the application uses the YouTube Data API and YouTube Analytics API with these scopes:
youtube.upload: to upload our videos (always as private first) and set their thumbnails.youtube.force-ssl: to add caption tracks to our videos and manage their details.yt-analytics.readonly: to read our channels' performance reports (views, watch time, audience retention and similar).
How it uses that information
- Solely to publish and improve our own channels' videos: uploading them, setting their details, and reviewing how they perform.
- The sign-in credential (an OAuth refresh token) and any downloaded reports are stored only on our own computer. They are not uploaded to any server of ours.
- Our production work uses automation tools that operate on our behalf for our own channels. They use this information only for the purposes above.
- We do not sell this information, use it for advertising, or use it to train AI models, and we share it with no one except the service providers that run the tools above on our behalf.
Ridgefold's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
This application uses YouTube API Services. By using it, you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.
Revoking access and deletion
Access can be revoked at any time from Google Account permissions. When access is revoked, the stored credential stops working and we delete it. Downloaded reports are deleted when they are no longer needed for our own analysis, and in any case on request.
3. Our brands
Each brand may collect different information. For example, an online store needs order and shipping details, and a game may have player accounts. Before any brand collects personal information, it will publish its own privacy notice, or we will add a section for that brand to this page. That notice will say what is collected, why, who processes it (such as a payment provider), and how to request access or deletion.
Where a brand operates on a third-party platform (for example a video platform, a marketplace or a game platform), that platform's own terms and privacy policy also apply to what you do there.
4. Children
Our website and tools are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
5. Changes to this policy
We will update this page when our practices change or a new brand launches, and change the effective date above.
